I urge Mr. President to extend a similar gesture to the Okuama community by directing the military to ensure the safe return of innocent men and women to their homes, allowing them to live in peace.

At this moment, thousands of Okuama people are stranded in the forest, deprived of basic necessities such as food, water, and medical care. Their suffering is largely ignored, with minimal support coming from the Delta State Government.

This neglect is regrettable, unacceptable, and condemnable. It is an injustice and a grave violation of human rights.

While we denounce all forms of criminality, we demand that those responsible for the unprovoked massacre of our brave military officers be brought to justice. However, terrorizing innocent civilians, including men, women, and children, with military force is cowardly and tyrannical.

We call on the international community to take note of the dire situation unfolding in Okuama and other Urhobo villages in the Niger Delta. We hold Tinubu responsible for the tragic loss of lives and call for an end to the senseless violence.

The targeted elimination of civilians by soldiers must cease immediately. We cannot tolerate the repeated cycles of violence and oppression faced by our people.

Yesterday it was the ODI people, today it is the Okuama people, and tomorrow it could be anyone. It is time for the world to stand up against the oppression of the Okuama people and demand justice for all.

May God bring peace to the people of Okuama and the entire Urhobo Nation.
