Bakassi Has Not Received Any Support From The Government — Ita Giwa
Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has slammed Reuben Abati that they will sit down and talk in the studio without them knowing what is on ground.
Senator Florence Ita-Giwa attacked Reuben Abati during the Morning Show program when Dr. Abati asked her why her community have not petitioned the INEC over a man who went from Bakassi to go to the Cross River state House of Assembly with even very few votes in the last governorship and state house of assembly election.
Senator Florence reacts, “when you people sit down here and talk, you don’t know what is on ground. You do not know the difficulty that people go through in bringing people out to come and vote, in an area that has not received any support from government. It is pathetic, some people sit down here and talk.”
Senator Florence added that “in a democracy, somebody can even win by one vote. She said all she knows was that they manage to make people to vote so that they can put somebody in the house of assembly to represent the interest of Bakassi and that was all, “They have to vote”
