Swears In Three Commissioners, Highlights Achievements.

 

In a ceremony held on Thursday, February 1, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State swore in three newly appointed commissioners, emphasizing the state’s leadership in Criminal Justice Reforms.

 

The governor highlighted Delta’s top-ranking status among states in the country, attributing it to the passage of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law 2022 and Administration of Civil Justice Law 2022 under his leadership as speaker.

The newly appointed commissioners are Ekemejero Ohwovoriole, SAN, as Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice; Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza as Commissioner for Information, and Prince Kelly Kalanama Penawou as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

 

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori commended the new Attorney-General, Ekemejero Ohwovoriole SAN, as a brilliant and capable lawyer with nearly 30 years of distinguished service at the Bar. He challenged Ohwovoriole to maintain the state’s pace-setting role in Criminal Justice Reforms.

Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, appointed as Commissioner for Information, was described as a tested hand and avid communicator in political communication and information management.
