Governor Sheriff Oborevwori Swears In Three Commissioners, Highlights Achievements.
In a ceremony held on Thursday, February 1, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State swore in three newly appointed commissioners, emphasizing the state’s leadership in Criminal Justice Reforms.
The governor highlighted Delta’s top-ranking status among states in the country, attributing it to the passage of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law 2022 and Administration of Civil Justice Law 2022 under his leadership as speaker.

The newly appointed commissioners are Ekemejero Ohwovoriole, SAN, as Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice; Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza as Commissioner for Information, and Prince Kelly Kalanama Penawou as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori commended the new Attorney-General, Ekemejero Ohwovoriole SAN, as a brilliant and capable lawyer with nearly 30 years of distinguished service at the Bar. He challenged Ohwovoriole to maintain the state’s pace-setting role in Criminal Justice Reforms.

Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, appointed as Commissioner for Information, was described as a tested hand and avid communicator in political communication and information management. Governor Oborevwori expects Osuoza to elevate government communication with creativity and innovation, emphasizing positive citizen engagement.

Prince Kelly Kalanama Penawou, the new Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, was acknowledged as a grassroots politician with extensive experience in local government administration. The governor expressed high expectations of excellence and exemplary performance from Penawou.
Governor Oborevwori charged the commissioners to lead by example, emphasizing the importance of being role models in punctuality, discipline, hard work, excellence, honesty, transparency, and accountability. He reassured Deltans of the administration’s commitment to advancing the state through accelerated infrastructural development, job opportunities, improved learning environments, and better working conditions.
