Tragic Attack on Katsina State Police Officer
In a distressing incident, a Katsina State Police officer lost his life during an attack by bandits, who cunningly disguised themselves in Hijab.
The assault took place at the duty post in Saki Jiki village, Batsari Local Government Area. The Command’s spokesman, Abubakar Aliyu, confirmed the tragic event, mentioning that another officer sustained injuries.
The statement read, ”Yesterday( Thursday) at about 8 pm, some suspected armed bandits, deceitfully dressed in hijab, attacked officers at their duty post situated in Saki Jiki village of Batsari Local Government Area.
“The officers responded bravely and successfully repelled the attack. However, one officer lost his life and another was injured as a result of the attack.
“Further development will be communicated in due course please”

The attack unfolded at 8 pm on Thursday, with the police swiftly responding and successfully repelling the assailants. Unfortunately, one officer paid the ultimate sacrifice, while another was injured in the line of duty.
As the community grapples with this loss, it’s crucial to note that bandit activities have seen a resurgence in Katsina, with Batsari Local Government Area witnessing multiple attacks in the past week.

Additionally, the bandits targeted Kukar Babangida village in Jibia Local Government Area, claiming nine lives, including the village head.
