President Bola Tinubu is currently in a meeting with Anyim Pius Anyim, the former Senate President and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) during the Goodluck Jonathan administration.

Anyim arrived at the Presidential Villa in Abuja accompanied by Chief Olisah Metuh, the former National Publicity Secretary of the opposing People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The purpose of the meeting between the President and these two former PDP leaders is unknown, but it was officially scheduled to take place at 2:00 pm.
Anyim, who expressed his intention to run for the last presidential election in 2022, was suspended by the PDP in March of this year due to allegations of engaging in activities against the party. He showed his support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Francis Nwifuru, in Ebonyi State.

Metuh, on the other hand, announced his resignation from the PDP and withdrawal from partisan politics in October 2022. In a letter addressed to the party’s National Chairman on October 25th, 2022, Metuh explained that his decision to leave the party was made during his recent medical trip abroad.
