Flavour Bids Farewell to His Father in Anambra

Nigerian high-life singer Chinedu Okoli, widely known as Flavour N’abania, has laid his father, Benjamin Onyemaechi Okoli, to rest in Umunze, Anambra State. The emotional farewell took place on Saturday, drawing the presence of many celebrities and well-wishers.

In a poignant Instagram post, Flavour shared a video with the caption, “O RUO N’OMUME. KA ANYI DUO ODOGWU IJE 🕊️,” which translates to “The time has come. Let us bid farewell to the hero.” The video and message highlighted the deep respect and love he held for his late father.

The funeral saw an array of notable figures, including Peter Obi, Phyno, Cubana Chief Priest, Obi Cubana, and Odumeje, who came to pay their respects and support Flavour during this difficult time.

Adding to the tributes, Flavour’s wife, Sandra Okagbue, a former beauty queen, also expressed her respect for her father-in-law on Instagram. She wrote, “Today, we gather not in sorrow, but in celebration of the life of a remarkable man who will always be an icon to many. Farewell, my father-in-law, Pa Benjamin Okoli.”

 

Flavour had previously announced his father’s passing on social media on May 22nd, sharing an emotional video that captured the depth of his loss.
