The company’s investigation pinpointed the fault to an external incident, leading to a cut in the submarine cable system in the ocean.

MainOne detailed that rectifying the fault, which includes retrieving necessary spares for the repair, “sailing to the fault location for the repair work might take one to two weeks.

Additionally, approximately two to three weeks of transit time may be required for the vessel to collect the spares and journey from Europe to West Africa once the vessel is mobilised.”
