Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has issued a plea for tranquility among the state’s residents,in response to a fierce gun battle erupting between the police and military forces at the Adamawa State Police headquarters in Yola.
The governor, conveyed through his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, emphasized the importance of citizens continuing their daily activities despite the unsettling incident.
Expressing concern over the clash, Governor Fintiri underscored the significance of harmony among security agencies, characterizing the event as a setback to the ongoing peace-building endeavors within the state.

Assuring the public, he conveyed that the government is actively managing the situation and has called upon the involved parties to exercise restraint.
Governor Fintiri Appeals To Security Personnels
In a plea directed at all security personnel, the governor emphasized the necessity for restraint, mutual respect, and tolerance, emphasizing the collaborative nature of their roles in the state.
“I am concerned that such acrimony could have lasting consequences on the hard-earned peace we have been able to build over the years,” the governor said.
“I appeal to all security personnel for restraint, mutual respect and tolerance for one another as people destined to work together in this great state. I appeal for patience and understanding as the administration works towards lasting solutions to these conflicts.”
