Gunmen Abduct Singer, Gnewzy In Delta, Demand $200,000 Ransom

An upcoming singer, Goodnews Enuemu aka Gnewzy, has been abducted by gunmen.

The singer was in Delta state for a performance when he was abducted along Eklat road in Ughelli, a town in the state on Monday, April 29.

According to his record label, the singer’s manager, Obas9ice who escaped unhurt said the gunmen were dressed in police uniform.

His abductors have since contacted his record label and are demanding $200, 000 ransom for his release. The kidnappers have threatened to send Gnewzy’s ‘’head,” if his management involves the police or marks the money sent in as ransom. They said that they would send a mail in five days with the location where the ransom would be deposited.

In a chat with LIB, the spokesperson of the command, SP Bright Edafe, said the singer was indeed abducted but that investigation into the incident is ongoing.
