Gunmen kill APC presidential campaign council member

 

Captain Tony Enoch, a member of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, was shot and killed in Awomama Technical School in Imo State by unidentified gunmen.

According to reports, the murdered Enoch was from the Oru East Local Government Area, where state governor Hope Uzodimma is originally from.

According to reports, Enoch, a retired military officer who doubled as the Coordinator for the Grow Orlu Project, a political organisation run by Osita Izunaso, the senator-elect of the Imo West Senatorial District, was killed while leaving the APC stakeholders meeting held at the Oru- East council headquarters.

 

The assailants ambushed Enoch and told him to park his car before shooting him three times in the head and throwing him into the booth, where blood stains could be seen under the abandoned car.

Henry Okoye, the state police spokesperson, admitted he hadn’t yet received a briefing on the incident but that he would look into it.

 

Meanwhile, The managing director of Seplat Energy Plc, its other directors, and the company secretary have been ordered by a Federal High Court in Abuja to cease performing their official duties until a lawsuit is resolved.

In a decision on an ex-patte motion filed by three unhappy Seplat shareholders, Juliet Ebere Nwadi Gbaka, Margaret Awobusuyi Funmilayo, and Clement Akaeme, Justice Inyang Ekwo issued the order on Thursday.

Justice Ekwo directed the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) to appoint qualified individuals to manage Seplat’s affairs while the motion on notice filed by the applicants is heard and decided.

Roger Thompson Brown, MD, Basil Omiyi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Emma Fitzgerald, Dr. Charles Okeahialam, Prof. Fabian Ajogwu, Rabiu Bello, and Mrs. Basirat Odenewu are the individuals who are impacted by the orders.

 

Samuel Ezeugwuorie, the Chief Operating Officer, and Mrs. Edith Onwuchekwa, the Company Secretary, are also impacted.

After hearing from the applicant’s attorney, Abiodun Layonu (SAN), who filed the ex-patte application, Justice Ekwo issued the order.
