Gov Ishaku Allocates N2b For Car Purchases
The governor of Taraba state, Darius Ishaku, is said to have given the go-ahead for the spending of N2 billion on posh cars. He, his constable and their wives will all ride in the vehicles.
This comes only 18 days to the end of his term as Governor.

Ejesgist Media Limited gathered from a source that pleaded annonymity that the decision was made at the most recent State Executive Council (SEC) meeting, which was presided over by Mr. Ishaku.
According to the source, Mr. Darius and his wife will receive exotic cars worth over N1.3 billion, while his deputy and his wife will receive vehicles worth N750 million.

According to the source, “Governor Darius Ishaku asked the council to approve a memo he presented for the purchase of vehicles for himself, his deputy and their wives in our most recent SEC meeting, and it was swiftly approved without any argument.
He continued by saying that it was argued at the meeting that Mr Darius and his deputy deserved new vehicles as they prepared to leave office because they had been using old ones since they took office in 2015.
The governor will receive two Toyota Land Cruiser SUVs, two Toyota Hilux escort vehicles, and a utility vehicle under the proposal, while his wife will receive a Land Cruiser SUV and an escort vehicle.
The deputy governor, Haruna Manu, will also receive two Land Cruiser SUVs in lower trim levels as well as an escort vehicle, while his wife will receive an SUV and a utility vehicle.
