Musk announced the in a tweet that read, “Looking forward to working with Linda to transform this platform into X, the everything app.” Musk made the announcement early on Friday morning.

 

Yaccarino, he claimed, “will concentrate primarily on operations, while I concentrate on product design and new technology.”

As rumours about her selection for the Twitter position grew, Yaccarino announced her resignation as head of advertising for NBC earlier in the day.

 

In December, Musk declared that he would leave his position as CEO once he had found someone to take over.
