Over the weekend, President Bola Tinubu was chosen as the Chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

Tinubu, who attended the 63rd Ordinary Session of the West African Leaders Forum for the first time, was formally elected Chairman in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau.

Tinubu took over as the leader of the sub-regional political and economic body from Guinea-Bissau’s President Umaro Sissoco Embaló.”
