N50 Million Reward Offered for Information on Mohbad’s Death

In a significant development, the African Television and Foundation for Justice has announced a monetary reward of N50 million for anyone with reliable information on the cause of death of Afrobeats singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. This announcement follows the recent disclosure by the pathologist in charge of the case that the autopsy conducted could not determine the exact cause of Mohbad’s demise.

The foundation, known for its advocacy in justice-related issues, is stepping in to aid the investigation, seeking to bring clarity and resolution to the mysterious circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death. Alongside the substantial cash reward, the organization has also pledged to ensure the safety of the informant by facilitating their relocation abroad if necessary.

This move comes as the autopsy results proved inconclusive due to the advanced decomposition of Mohbad’s body by the time the examination was conducted. The singer passed away on September 12, 2023, and was buried the following day in Ikorodu. His body was exhumed on September 21 for the autopsy, but the results did not provide a clear cause of death.
