Five agitators claiming to represent the Yoruba nation have been apprehended. The renowned agitators were apprehended a few hours after invading and seizing control of a radio station in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
5) Shipment of Explosives Intercepted ahead of Tinubu’s Inauguration in Abuja
A shipment of 32 Improvised Explosive Devices was intercepted by agents of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency in Niger State, bordering the Federal Capital Territory, ahead of the presidential inauguration on May 29 and the inauguration of new administrations across the country.
Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the incoming president, has assured Nigerians that her family does not need the nation’s wealth to survive because God has blessed them. She disclosed this during the interdenominational church service held on Sunday at the National Christian Centre in Abuja.

The family also stated that the group is not involved in any plot to cause disorder and discontent across the nation on May 29.
8) NNPP Opens up on alleged defection of Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso
The New Nigeria Peoples Party stated on Sunday that its candidate in the last presidential election, Rabiu Kwankwaso, would not defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress. The party was responding to Kwankwaso’s recent meeting with President-elect Bola Tinubu in Paris, France, which fueled rumours of his defection to the APC.

On Sunday evening, President-elect Bola Tinubu pleaded with Nigerians not to pity him for the monumental task of nation-building he faces. While alluding to the difficulties facing the nation, Tinubu stated that he was well aware of the task he had undertaken and did not anticipate pity from Nigerians.
10) May 29th: Security Forces Deployed to Daura, Buhari’s Hometown
There are increased security measures in Muhammadu Buhari’s hometown of Daura in preparation for his return on Monday, following the inauguration of President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Buhari will be flown from Abuja to Katsina and then Daura today following the handover.
