1. Prior to the Senate’s resumption today, the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has made the decision to send a letter to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, requesting a hold on filling the position of Senate minority leadership in the upper legislative chamber. This resolution was reached during a meeting of the party’s National Working Committee held in Abuja on Monday.

2. On Monday, the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja admitted the final report of the European Union Observer Mission on the presidential election held on February 25 as evidence. The EU report was presented to the tribunal by the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who are contesting the election results.

3. In Nnokwa community, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, a woman named Nnaemaka Nwosu allegedly set a policewoman and her two children on fire on Sunday. The suspect, originally from Amawbia community, had recently been divorced and was in desperate need of accommodation. The policewoman offered her a place to stay in her apartment.

The incident occurred around 4:00 pm while workers were on-site. Efforts were made to rescue those trapped and maintain order at the scene.

She stated that she printed her result from the JAMB portal and emphasized her track record of academic excellence, having consistently achieved first position since primary school.
