Mr. Eluwade Eluyemi has assumed the role of the 15th State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Akwa Ibom, as confirmed by a statement released by Mr. Friday Ekerete, the Command Public Relations Officer, in Uyo on Thursday.

According to Ekerete, Eluyemi has taken over from Dr. Yusuf Imam, who has been redeployed to the NSCDC National Headquarters in Abuja.

With prior experience in various NSCDC commands across the country, Eluyemi brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. As a Mechanical Engineer, he also holds a Masters degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.

Upon assuming command, Eluyemi held a briefing session with officers and personnel, emphasizing the importance of their support. He urged them to recommit themselves to fulfilling the corps’ mandate by displaying unwavering dedication to their duties.

Eluyemi expressed his appreciation for his predecessor’s contributions to the growth of the command and vowed to infuse new energy and enthusiasm in achieving the corps’ objectives.

Furthermore, Eluyemi pledged to enhance the command’s operations through digitalization and to collaborate closely with the state government and other security agencies. Their joint efforts would ensure the effective protection of critical government assets and infrastructure.
