In a tragic turn of events, a 30-year-old man identified as Prosper Igboke has lost his life by jumping from a two-story building in Nnewi, Anambra State. Prosper, a pastor of a Pentecostal church and a native of Umunneochi, Abia State, took this drastic step following a heartbreaking disappointment from his female lover.

Reportedly, Prosper’s female lover declined his marriage proposal, which led him to make the fatal decision. Sources revealed that Prosper had supported and trained the lady through university, and her refusal left him devastated.
A relative of the deceased, who chose to remain anonymous, shared details of the incident, saying, “The incident happened last month. The man was 30 years old at the time of his death. His girlfriend, whom he intended to marry, disappointed him after seeing her through the university.”
The incident has left the community in shock, as Prosper’s action is unexpected for a man of his age and his pastoral role. In accordance with the tradition of Leru autonomous community of Umunneochi Local Government Area in Abia State, it is mentioned that Prosper will be buried in a forest for committing what is considered sacrilege.
Ultimately, Prosper was laid to rest in a bush in his community, marking a tragic end to a life marred by heartache and despair.
