Reno Omokri Warns Against Marrying Women Who See In-Law Support as a Duty
Renowned activist and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has voiced a cautionary note regarding marriage, asserting that a significant path to financial instability is marrying a woman who sees her family’s upkeep as the responsibility of her husband.
Omokri shared his perspective on social media platform X, highlighting the potential pitfalls of assuming the financial burden of a spouse’s family.
He underlined that while it’s commendable to occasionally support in-laws if one can afford it, it should not be an obligatory duty for the husband.

In his post, he advised against committing to a relationship with a woman who perceives her partner as accountable for her family’s welfare, labeling such a mindset as a liability.
He emphasized that individuals should not overlook the implications of assuming the financial responsibility of their partner’s family, cautioning that it could lead to personal instability.
“The fastest route to poverty is marrying a woman who believes her family is also your responsibility,” Omokri stated. “Any girl with that type of mentality is a liability. And her family will result in your instability.”
