Female Associate of Sunday Igboho Denies Sexual Molestation in DSS Custody.
Ms. Hamudat Babatunde, also known as Lady K, a female associate of Chief Sunday Adeyemo (aka Sunday Igboho), has vehemently denied allegations of sexual molestation by men of the Department of State Security (DSS) during her custody in Abuja.
Babatunde was among the 13 individuals apprehended following the July 1, 2021 raid on Igboho’s residence in Ibadan. While 11 others were granted bail on August 4, 2021, Babatunde was also released on bail.

In response to a viral video by one Alimi Shakiru Adebare claiming that DSS agents tear-gassed her private parts during her 118 days in custody, Babatunde issued a statement in Ibadan refuting the allegations. She described the video as defamatory and causing her trauma, noting that family, friends, and associates had expressed concern over the claims.
Babatunde urged the security agency to investigate the unfounded allegations and called for the arrest of Adebare for spreading falsehood about the DSS.

In her statement, she asserted, “Though I spent 118 days in DSS custody after our arrest at Chief Sunday Adeyemo’s residence in Ibadan, I was never molested or sexually abused by any agent or officer of the DSS.
The man making this false claim must be arrested to face justice for choosing to spread falsehood to the public about the activities of the security agency.”

Expressing her commitment to the peaceful agitation for the Yoruba nation, she urged the DSS to take decisive action against Adebare to serve as a deterrent to others engaging in such campaigns of calumny.
