During a conversation with Angela Martinez, a prominent American podcaster from Power 105.1 FM in New York, Tems addressed a wide range of topics, including the pregnancy speculation and her unfortunate experience in Ugandan detention, all while setting the record straight.
The pregnancy rumors initially swirled in September, following a video that showcased what some believed to be a visibly protruding belly during her appearance at Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2024 London Fashion Week event. However, the Grammy Award-winning artist was quick to clarify that the supposed pregnancy was nothing more than a misunderstanding, caused by the way her blouse was tucked into her pants, creating the illusion of a slightly protruding belly.

Tems explained that the rumors began circulating just two days after her Fashion Week appearance, prompting her own family, including her mother, to inquire about the situation.
Tems Ugandan Prison Experience
Speaking of her harrowing experience in a Ugandan prison, Tems asserted that the entire incident was a premeditated setup. She humorously likened her bewilderment in those circumstances to a cat at a dog show.
The singer and her fellow artist, Omah Lay, found themselves in trouble when they were arrested and subsequently detained in Uganda after performing at a concert at Speke Resort, Kampala, on December 12, 2020, in violation of COVID-19 social distancing regulations.
