A deeply unsettling video has surfaced, showing a lifeless body being repeatedly run over by Okada riders on a busy Lagos road. The video, shared by X user Bigwig Austin and obtained by Ejes Gist News, has sparked outrage and concern across social media platforms.r

In the footage, the body, which appears to be freshly deceased, is seen lying on the road while several Okada riders, suspected to be of Hausa extraction, take turns to run over it. This act of desecration has been widely condemned as barbaric and inhumane.

Bigwig Austin, who shared the video on X, formerly known as Twitter, made a direct appeal to the Lagos State Government, urging immediate action. He wrote:

A disturbing video of a man murdered in broad daylight and his murderers using okada to run over his body repeatedly is circulating on the media.

Irrespective of his crime, this is barbaric. Kindly do something.”

The graphic nature of the video has drawn widespread attention and calls for justice. Many are demanding a thorough investigation to bring those responsible to account and to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.

“As of the time of this report, authorities in Lagos have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident. However, the public outcry highlights the urgent need for intervention and measures to ensure the safety and dignity of all citizens.”
