Wike Joining APC Is Our Prayer, Says APC Chieftain

Chief Victor Giadom, the National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the South-South, extended an invitation to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike, urging him to join the ruling party. Giadom made the call during a New Year luncheon organized by the FCT Minister in his hometown of Rumueprikom, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

At the event, Giadom officially welcomed 27 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC.

Expressing his desire to see Wike join the APC, Giadom mentioned ongoing consultations and prayers aimed at persuading the FCT Minister to change his political affiliation.

“We have consulted a lot of prayer warriors so that you will change your mind and leave the PDP and join our party. That prayer, I know, will work,” remarked Giadom.

During the luncheon, Giadom acknowledged and appreciated the support Wike provided to the APC presidential candidate in the 2023 election. He expressed gratitude for Wike’s backing and assured that the party values the support received.

Giadom, also a member of the National Working Committee of the APC, emphasized the party’s commitment to working with Wike. He highlighted the recent development of the APC gaining control of the Rivers State House of Assembly and thanked Wike for his role in fostering unity within the state.

“The unity we have today in Rivers State is not easy to accomplish. We owe you that support, we owe you that friendship,” Giadom stated.

The APC chieftain concluded by pledging continued collaboration between the ruling party and Wike, recognizing the Minister’s dedication to uniting Rivers State.
