Frank Shaibu, the Special Assistant on Public Communications for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has urged Festus Keyamo, the former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, to throw away his law certificate in the wake of his defeat at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Shaibu stated that Keyamo’s law degree was ineffective.

Keyamo had petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), and other anti-corruption agencies prior to the election to arrest and prosecute Atiku on the basis of false and unsubstantiated allegations.
Keyamo, eager to satisfy his paymasters, did not wait up to three days for the EFCC and other agencies to act on his petition; instead, he hurriedly filed a lawsuit asking the court to order the agencies to act on his petition.
On Monday, Justice James Omotosho dismissed Keyamo’s suit as lacking merit and fined him N10 million.
In response to the development, Shaibu stated that the most recent ruling demonstrated Keyamo’s incompetence as an attorney.
Shaibu stated that the verdict demonstrated conclusively that the former minister was engaging in petty politics.
Shaibu’s statement reads, “Justice Omotosho has confirmed Keyamo’s incompetence. One wonders how he rose to the position of senior attorney. Keyamo refused to listen to reason despite repeated explanations that the accusations made against Atiku were false.
“Rather than acting as would be expected of a senior advocate, he chose to act as a political operative. Now, he is disgraced in front of the entire world. This individual served under the renowned Chief Gani Fwehinmi? “What a pity!”
Shaibu stated that Keyamo’s most recent loss was not unexpected, given that he had lost numerous high-profile court cases as an EFCC prosecutor.

He added, “When the former minister filed the frivolous lawsuit, we informed the Nigerian people that he would lose.” The prediction was consistent with his history as an unsuccessful EFCC prosecutor. Today, we’ve been vindicated.
“He was the prosecutor for the EFCC against Governor Timipre Sylva, but he lost. He represented the EFCC and lost against Femi Fani-Kayode.
Even in the case he brought against the Lagos State House of Assembly during the Tinubu certificate scandal, marked ID/639M/99, Keyamo was unsuccessful. In the case of former Speaker of the House of Representatives Dimeji Bankole, in which Keyamo served as the chief prosecutor, it also resulted in a catastrophic failure.
“Keyamo made a name for himself by filing numerous frivolous lawsuits to amuse the media. He must discard his law degree in order to accept his position as a social media influencer.
