Yahoo Boy Stabs Parents as Black Magic Soap Fails to Bring Expected Fortune
In a shocking incident in Ibadan, Oyo State, a 20-year-old Yahoo Boy resorted to violence, stabbing his parents when a black magic soap failed to deliver the anticipated fortune. Daniel Bamidele, the suspect, attacked his mother, Titilayo, and father, leading to a disturbing scene that would have resulted in tragedy if not for the timely intervention of bystanders.
The attack unfolded when Daniel’s mother refused to disclose her real name for him to activate a black magic soap intended to bring him good fortune. The young man, engaged in cybercrime, expressed frustration as the soap’s effectiveness was compromised due to the alleged fake name provided by his mother.
Despite building a three-bedroom bungalow from the proceeds of his cybercrime activities, Daniel accused his mother and elder brother of conspiring to defraud him of N2.5 million. He claimed that his promises to secure a store and stock it with goods for his mother were betrayed.

In a disturbing revelation, Daniel admitted to purposefully luring his mother from a church programme to carry out the attack, alleging that his family was attempting to kill him. He pointed to his mother’s supposed deceit regarding her name and accused his elder brother of attempting to manipulate his finances.
Titilayo, the mother, denied the allegations, stating that she did not receive any money from her son. She clarified that her involvement was limited to bringing Daniel home from school at LAUTECH when he exhibited signs of mental illness.
