In a heartbreaking incident, Engr Mohammed Faworaja, a 30-year-old man and the main provider for his family, tragically lost his life.

 

The devastating event occurred in when he was fatally attacked by a dangerous “German Dog.”

Engr Faworaja had taken over the family from his retired father and was running an errand last weekend near the Asa Dam Warah/Osin area of Kwara State capital.

The aggressive Dog pursued him relentlessly, causing him to accidentally collide with an electric pole while attempting to escape.

As a result, he fell violently, and the food items he had gone to purchase scattered on the ground.

Witnesses to the tragic incident, who were kind-hearted passersby, immediately chased away the attacking Dog and rushed Engr Faworaja to a nearby private hospital.

Despite their efforts, he succumbed to internal bleeding and was pronounced dead at the hospital, as reported by a reliable source in the area.

The loss of this young Engineer has left his family devastated.

 

According to an undisclosed source, a German shepherd dog, which had escaped its confinement, pursued the deceased individual.

Unfortunately, during the chase, the man collided with an electric pole, leading to his death due to internal bleeding. Tragically, the sardine he had gone to buy was found next to the pole.

 

The deceased was described as a friendly man, likely around 33 years old, who served as the main provider for his family.

The impact of his loss has deeply affected his family, especially his father, who had recently retired and entrusted everything to him.

The family is currently going through a devastating time.

The police have been informed about the incident, and the owner of the dog has been apprehended, with an ongoing investigation into the matter, as confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Ajayi Okasanmi (SP).

“The owner of the dog has been arrested and the matter is being investigated”, the police spokesman added.
