Dave Umahi Reacts As Name Appears On President Tinubu’s Ministerial List
After finding out that his name was included in the ministerial list presented to the 10th Assembly, the former governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, responded by affirming his commitment to collaborate with President Bola Tinubu in fulfilling all the promises made during the campaign.
The much-awaited ministerial list from President Bola Tinubu was unveiled by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, on Thursday.
The list contained 28 names, without specifying their respective states of origin.

The letter carrying the list was delivered to the Chamber by Femi Gbajiabiamila, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives and current Chief of Staff to the President, at 1.19 p.m., shortly after entering at 1.18 p.m.
The letter was directed to Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Senate, and it included the name of Umahi among the nominees on the list.
After being nominated, Umahi spoke to the press in Abakaliki, where he expressed his commitment to working diligently to prove his worthiness for the position he has been entrusted with.

Upon his arrival in Abakaliki, he was welcomed by Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, and during his address to the media, Umahi sincerely thanked Tinubu for fulfilling a promise made during a challenging period.
Umahi also shared that Governor Nwifuru had wished for his nomination.
He pledged to collaborate with the President to ensure the fulfillment of all the promises made.
While he may not know the specific ministry he will head at this point, Umahi reassured that he would exemplify the resourcefulness and exceptional qualities of Ebonyi in his role.
