5 free Online Cybersecurity courses at US universities

This webpage contains list of 5 at US universities.

Numerous American universities offer free online cybersecurity courses to anyone, including non-students, who wishes to enter the field without investing excessive time or money. Additionally, there are courses that are not prohibitively expensive.

The democratisation of these courses is a result of a severe lack of cybersecurity skills and talent in the United States and internationally. It is not only a talent shortage issue, but also a major global concern among executive leaders.

According to a recent report, eighty percent of global organisations experienced one or more data breaches in the preceding year, which can be attributed to a lack of cybersecurity skills and/or awareness.

According to an Accenture 2021 analysis, the number of attacks per year increased by 31% to 270 between 2020 and 2021. Each organisation experienced an average of 29 successful attacks.

According to Cybersecurity Ventures’ 2022 research, the number of unfilled cybersecurity positions has increased by 350% since 2013, from 1 million to 3.5 million. Master’s degree programmes, employer-sponsored training programmes, and certification programmes are all available entry points into this burgeoning field of cybersecurity.
