According to reports, the massacre occurred when armed men attacked several villages in the Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State. The attackers reportedly targeted people who were sleeping in their homes, and many women and children were among the victims.

The President of DIIGL, Comrade  Endurance Ikano, has expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and called on the Nigerian government to take urgent action to address the security challenges in the country. He stressed that the government needs to do more to protect the lives and property of its citizens.

 

In a statement issued by the organization’s Publicity Secretary Comrade Omajemite Don, DIIGL also called on all Nigerians to unite in the fight against terrorism and other forms of violence. The organization emphasized that peace and unity are essential for the development and progress of any nation.
