Two key petitioners’ secretariat employees fell ill, preventing them from proceeding with the day’s business, according to Kalu.

He requested a change until Thursday.

Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN), representing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Wole Olanipekun (SAN), representing and Kashim Shettma, and Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), representing the All Progressives Congress (APC), did not object to Kalu’s request for adjournment.

Mahmoud urged the court, however, to record the day against the petitioners and deduct it from the number of days previously allotted to them to present their case.
