Air Force personnel assisted him to his feet, and he did not appear to require additional assistance.

 

Biden pointed to the object that had apparently caught his foot as he rose to his feet. On stage, it resembled a small black sandbag.

Director of White House Communications Ben LaBolt tweeted shortly thereafter, “He’s fine. While he was shaking hands on stage, there was a sandbag present.”
