The Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso faction of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, has convened a parallel meeting of the National Executive Committee in Abuja, with the aim of reversing his suspension. The faction further made a declaration to expel the newly appointed acting National Chairman of the party, Major Agbo, along with several prominent members who were implicated in the sanctions against Kwankwaso.

Addressing the pressing matter of the N5 billion palliative fund anticipated from the Federal Government, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, revealed that his administration is yet to finalize plans for its allocation. While contemplating possible approaches, Wike highlighted the consideration of transportation and food assistance.
