According to a source within the DSS, Bodejo’s arrest was prompted by concerns that the creation of the Nomad’s vigilante group could potentially incite violence across the country.

The group, responsible for security matters, was reportedly not registered with any security agency, including the DSS and the police, making it unrecognized by the federal government.

The source stated, “The creation of that nomad’s vigilante group could cause violence in the country. The group was not registered with the DSS, the police, or any other security agency, and the group is not recognized by the federal government.”

This development follows the recent inauguration of a 1,144-nomad vigilante security outfit by Miyetti Allah on January 17, aiming to address the increasing incidents of kidnapping and other criminal activities in Nasarawa state. During the inauguration, Bodejo emphasized that the vigilante group aimed to complement the federal government’s efforts in tackling insecurity nationwide.
