One of the projects specifies the “empowerment of women with deep freezers, generators, and other empowerment items to boost their daily earning in the two (2) local government areas of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District at 250 million each (Ikono & Abak).”

This revelation follows Senator Jarigne Agom Jarigbe’s disclosure that some high-ranking senators received N500 million each from the 2024 budget for constituency projects.

  1. The money budgeted for purchase of deep freezers,is enough to assemble Nigerian skilled engineers to produce deep freezers and air-conditioned as a start up,to become a full blown employment company in less than three years. There is something not right with the African ruling class.
