President Tinubu Removes Junaid Abdullah as BCDA Director-General; Appoints Alabo George and Dennis Otuaro to Key Positions. 

 

President Bola Tinubu has taken decisive action by dismissing Junaid Abdullah from his position as the Director-General of the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA). Abdullah, who is the son-in-law of former President Mohammadu Buhari, was removed from office with nearly two years remaining in his tenure.

Stepping into Abdullah’s shoes is Dakorinama Alabo George, a highly experienced professional renowned for his expertise in the field. Alabo George, a former Commissioner for Works in Rivers State, brings a wealth of knowledge and qualifications to his new role.

With a PhD in Construction Management, an MSc in Quantity Surveying and Construction Engineering, and a B.Tech in Quantity Surveying, Alabo George possesses a strong educational background that positions him as a capable leader to steer the BCDA towards greater success.

Furthermore, Alabo George’s impressive credentials extend to his membership in esteemed organizations such as the Certified Institute of Practising Professionals, USA, and the Association of Strategy Professionals, USA, underscoring his commitment to excellence and innovation in his field.

 

 

In addition to the changes at the BCDA, President Tinubu has also appointed Dennis Brutu Otuaro as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP). Otuaro, equipped with a PhD in Comparative Politics & Development Studies, an MSc in Public Administration, and a BSc in Education, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role.

Prior to this appointment, Otuaro served in key executive positions at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), where he gained invaluable experience across various sectors including infrastructure development, security, environmental remediation, as well as oil and gas.
