The incident, which occurred amidst a dispute over services rendered by the trader, sparked outrage among fellow traders, leading to a protest that disrupted vehicular movement in the area. Police intervention was required to restore order and clear the roads for traffic.

 

According to eyewitnesses, the altercation escalated when the soldier demanded a refund for unsatisfactory service, ultimately resulting in the fatal stabbing of the trader.
