A lecturer from the Department of Physical and Health Education (P.H.E) at the University of Maiduguri, Dr. Kamar Abdulkadir, has been brutally murdered in his office. Abdulkadir met his demise on Sunday when unidentified assailants entered his office and viciously attacked him with a knife and hammer.
According to sources, as well as friends and associates of the deceased, who took to their social media platforms, the lecturer was later discovered lifeless in a pool of his own blood, bearing multiple injuries inflicted by his assailants.
One source mentioned, “His hands were mutilated as he attempted to defend himself against the attackers. They also used a hammer to bludgeon his head and spinal cord, resulting in instant death.”

Furthermore, it was reported that the perpetrators also made off with his vehicle and other valuable possessions, while authorities are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the suspects.
Despite efforts to obtain confirmation from the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Kenneth Daso, no response was received at the time of press.
