Abdullahi Sani Abacha, the son of the late military leader of Nigeria, Sani Abacha, has died.
His sister, First Lady of Yobe State Fatimah Gumsu Abacha-Buni, confirmed this on Saturday via her verified Instagram account.

He passed away in his sleep at his family’s home on Nelson Mandela Street in Abuja.
She wrote, “Innalillahi wa inna ilahi rajiun (Surely, we belong to Allah and verily to Him do we return). My younger brother Abdullahi Sani Abacha has died. He died in his sleep. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him jannatul firdaos (paradise), Ameen. Please say a prayer for him.”

The funeral prayers was held at the Abuja National Mosque on March 4, 2023 at 4:30 pm.
The deceased is one of the former head of state’s nine children.
