Security Forces Arrest Kogi APC’s Chairman and Others in Possession of Ammunition and Cash.
The joint security forces comprising the police and soldiers have apprehended four individuals caught in possession of ammunition and an undisclosed amount of money suspected to be intended for use in the electoral process.
Notably, one of the suspects is reported to be a Local Government Chairman affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Amidst the election proceedings, concerns have been raised by Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in the Kogi State governorship election.

Ajaka has sounded the alarm regarding the alleged disappearance of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials in the Olamaboro area of Kogi State.
Additionally, Ajaka expressed concern over missing result sheets in the Ogori area of the state. He further alleged that the Chairman of Igalamela Local Government Area, who was reportedly apprehended with a substantial amount of money suspected to be for vote-buying, has been released by security agents.
The SDP governorship candidate conveyed these concerns through a statement issued by his spokesperson, Faruk Adejoh-Audu. According to the statement, SDP agents in the field have reported the absence of result sheets for entire polling units and ward collation in Ogori-Magongo.
