Are You Sure He’s Okay? He Can’t Walk Well” – Nigerians React As Video Of Tinubu In France Surfaces

 

A terse video of the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu taking a stroll on the streets of Paris, France, has heightened the speculations that he is battling with a health challenge and had visited the European country for treatment.

 

As commenters detail their observations on the video, myriad of Nigerians submitted that Mr. Tinubu appeared physically challenged and could barely walk well.

The video, which was shared by Festus Keyamo on Twitter, depicts Tinubu walking with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila in France.

Keyamo’s caption to the video reads: “The President-elect, @officialABAT taking a stroll on the streets of Paris this evening (about an hour ago) with Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.”

Commenting on the video, @MarkJadon, a concerned Nigerian, wrote: “Tinubu can barely walk well in this video. Are you sure he is okay?”

Recall that on the 22nd March, was said to have travelled to Paris, France, to rest and plan the transition programme ahead of his inauguration on 29 May.

Mr Tunde Rahman was quoted as saying: “After a very exhaustive campaign and election season, President-elect, Asíwájú Bola Tinubu, has travelled abroad to rest and plan his transition programme ahead of May 29, 2023 inauguration.

The President-elect left the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja for Europe on Tuesday night.

 

“The President-elect decided to take a break after the hectic campaign and election season to rest in Paris and London, preparatory to going to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (Lesser Hajj) and the Ramadan Fasting that begins Thursday.

While away, the President-elect will also use the opportunity to plan his transition programme. He is expected back in the country soon,” Mr Rahman said.

Meanwhile, Nigerians have continued to show concerns over the reports that the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is hospitalized.

 

Few week ago, Deji Adeyanju, a human rights’ activist, prayed for God to keep the President-elect alive for the betterment of Nigeria.

Deji wrote: “May nothing happen to Tinubu because I can’t stand that Boko Haram guy at all.”

 

Responding to Deji’s prayer, @EzeIfeanyi said: “Now you are thinking what people were thinking! But it’s too late. You did not agree when you were told that your party will not make it. You built confidence in your structure, now your structure dey gutter. Sorry.”

Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inactivity of late had heightened the speculations that follow the reports that he was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition last week.
