Yusuf Barnabas Bala, often known as Bala Bantex, is a Nigerian politician, architect, and former deputy governor of Kaduna State. He was the founder of the architecture business Bantex consortium and the former Kaduna state chairman of the reigning political party APC.

Bala Bantex was an All Progressives Congress (APC) member (APC). Between 2015 until 2019, he served as the deputy governor during Governor Nasir El-first Rufai’s term. He stepped down to run for the Senate position for Kaduna South Senatorial District in 2019, but he was defeated by Peoples Democratic Party Senator Danjuma La’ah (PDP).

Bala Bantex served in the House of Representatives and was the previous chairman of Kaura Local Government Area in Kaduna.

Barnabas Bantex, a former Kaduna state vice governor, has died.

Between 2015 to 2019, Bantex, a 65-year-old architect, served as the state’s vice governor. According to family sources, he died after a long illness in an Abuja hospital.

Nasir El-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna, confirmed his death in a press statement issued on Sunday.
