Bandits Disrupt Tahajjud Prayers, Abduct Dozens of Worshipers in Zamfara Mosque.
Dozens of worshipers were abducted during a brazen attack by bandits on a mosque in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State, on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred as Muslim faithful were observing the congregational Tahajjud prayers, a special prayer observed during the last 10 days of Ramadan.
The assailants struck the town around 2 a.m., disrupting the peaceful prayers and instilling fear and chaos among the worshipers. Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, shared details of the incident on X platform, highlighting the audacity of the terrorists’ actions.

“In the early morning of Tuesday at about 0200hr, bandits sneaked into Gusau Town and abducted several worshippers in a Mosque while they were observing tahajjud (midnight) prayers,” Makama reported.
