Biafra Referendum: EU confirms Ekpa’s petition, sends invitation
A well-known pro-Biafra activist has stated that the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union acknowledged the petition letter from the Biafran Republic Government in Exile, BRGIE.
Recall that the lawyer from Finland petitioned the US, the UN, the EU, and the International Criminal Court to demand that Nigeria hold a referendum on Biafra.
The EU requested a meeting with BRGIE in what appears to be a positive development for a resolution.
“The General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union has acknowledged our submission today; they have also invited us to additional consultations and provided us with additional instructions on the next step.

“Recall that we petitioned the European Union to allow Biafra to leave as the only way to achieve enduring peace. Certain information will always be made public in the struggle for Biafra’s independence, while other, more private information will always be kept that way. Just to inform Biafrans,” he wrote.
Ekpa had previously delivered more than 200 documents to Sauli Niinistö, the president of Finland.
