The move comes as a response to the persistent requests from university authorities and other tertiary institutions seeking exemption from the IPPIS. What it means?

In simple terms, this decision signifies that university authorities and other tertiary institutions, including polytechnics and colleges of education, will now handle the payment of their personnel independently, without reliance on the IPPIS.

This marks a significant shift in the financial management structure for these institutions, granting them greater autonomy in managing their payroll and personnel information systems.
