Buhari Moves Into Glass House Ahead Of Tinubu May 29 swearing in

 

President Muhammadu Buhari and his family have relocated to the Glass House at the Presidential Villa in Abuja ahead of the inauguration of the president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on May 29.

The First Lady, Aisha Buhari, revealed this in a video posted on her official Instagram page after showing Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the new First Lady, around the State House.

Mrs Buhari led Senator Tinubu on a tour of the villa, introducing her to its various rooms and giving him in-depth explanations about the significance and history of each building.

 

The outgoing president and their spouse will spend the transition period living in the Glass House, according to the First Lady.

It gives the outgoing president a symbolic and physical space, allowing the incoming president to fully assume power.

 

While announcing that she and her husband had moved into the famous house, Mrs. Buhari urged succeeding administrations to continue the tradition of having the outgoing president and his spouse live there until transitions are complete.

 

Meanwhile, Lamidi Apapa has been appointed as the National Chairman of the Labour Party by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court.

Following the decision, Apapa declared himself to be in charge and gave the party’s attorneys in the presidential election tribunal 48 hours to arrange a meeting with him.

Apapa has taken over management of the Labour Party’s operations as the Deputy National Chairman after being acknowledged as the acting chairman.

 

Additionally, Apapa has ordered that in order to discuss ongoing issues pertaining to the presidential election tribunal, the party’s attorneys must personally appear before him within the specified time frame. The Labour Party and its future operations are anticipated to be significantly impacted by this recent development.
