Aliko Dangote Announces Date For Grand Release Of Its Refinery Products Into The Market
The first product of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals will be on the market by the end of July or the beginning of August, according to business magnate Aliko Dangote.
On Monday, Dangote made this announcement during his welcome address at the inauguration of the 650,000-bpd refinery in Lagos State.
“Beyond today’s ceremony, your first objective is to increase production of the various products so that we can meet the nation’s demand for higher-quality products by the end of the year,” he said.

Aliko Dangote thanked Buhari for his support and for inspiring him whenever he felt like giving up.
In addition, he added that he admires Emefiele for “moving mountains” throughout the project.
According to him, the achievement will enable Nigeria to end what he termed the tragedy of import dependence and put an end — “once and for all” — to the dumping of toxic, substandard petroleum products on Nigeria’s market.
Beyond this, we intend to operate our plants at maximum capacity and efficiency so that we can export competitively to other markets, particularly in the ECOWAS and wider regions, where 53 out of 55 countries rely on imports to meet their demand for petroleum products,” he added.

The billionaire businessman stated that the project was a “clear opportunity” for Nigeria, citing the African Union’s commitment to the establishment of an African common market via the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The facility is anticipated to produce, among other refined products, Premium Motor Spirit (petrol), diesel (Automotive Gas Oil), aviation jet fuel and Dual-Purpose Kerosene (DPK).
