The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) overseeing the Ikeduru LGA, Lucky Ahiole, conveyed the tragic news to reporters in Owerri on Friday.

The devastating accident occurred at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Friday, leading to the unfortunate demise of all eight individuals traveling in a Sienna car.
According to Ahiole, the Sienna vehicle collided with a stationary truck loaded with rods, resulting in the fatal outcome for the family.

The impact of the collision was so severe that emergency responders had to break open the Sienna vehicle to extract the lifeless bodies of the victims.
“Eight died, and we have taken them to a morgue. We had to break the Sienna vehicle to bring out the dead bodies,” expressed Ahiole, highlighting the grim aftermath of the tragic incident.
