Echoing this sentiment, Sulaiman Pooja Adebayo, another sports journalist with insights into the situation, noted that George’s resignation followed what he described as a “stylish demotion” upon the arrival of the new foreign technical adviser.

Finidi George, a former head coach of Enyimba FC, took the reins of the Super Eagles with high hopes. However, his stint was short-lived, as the team struggled to find form under his guidance during the critical World Cup qualifying matches. In the wake of George’s resignation, the NFF is expected to expedite the integration of the foreign technical adviser in hopes of revitalizing the team’s prospects on the international stage.
“Finidi tendered his resignation on Thursday and said he was not hungry and they should bugger off,” an NFF official informed Ejes Gist News on Saturday afternoon.
