DSS Uncovers Plot By Boko Haram To Attack Abuja-Kaduna Train
In the coming days, the Department of State Service has uncovered a new plan by the terrorist organization Boko Haram to attack the Abuja-Kaduna train service.
In a memo to the Federal Ministry of Transportation, the DSS revealed this plot and confirmed its intelligence that Boko Haram terrorists are planning a new attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train line.
Subsequently, the Ministry of Transportation contacted the Federal Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Magashi, to request additional security measures to prevent the terrorist attack.
Transportation Minister Mu’azu Jaji Sambo signed the letter dated 3 February 2023 and titled “Re: Threat by Boko Haram terrorists to attack the Abuja-Kaduna Train Service.”
It reads as follows: “We have received a letter from the Department of State Services with reference number S.314/31/C/5390, dated February 1, 2023, regarding the subject matter above.

Urgently, we respectfully request that the Honorable Minister of Defense convene a meeting of all relevant parties to review the reported alert and ensure that everything necessary to prevent such an occurrence is considered.
Remember that Islamic terrorists attacked the Abuja-Kaduna train on March 28, 2022, killing eight and injuring numerous others. In addition, 168 passengers were abducted and later released in groups.
