In a recent cautionary remark, the Guinness World Records (GWR) has alerted Nigerians who are diligently striving to break various records in different categories. This announcement was made during a Twitter exchange with a Nigerian individual who reached out to the organization, revealing her intentions to attempt two record-breaking feats.

The warning comes just days after the world records body advised Nigerians to seek confirmation before attempting to break any record. Following Hilda Baci’s impressive 100-hour cook-a-thon challenge in May, many other Nigerians were inspired and initiated a flood of record-breaking attempts.
In an official statement on their website, GWR officially recognized Hilda Baci as the record holder for the longest cooking marathon (individual), achieving an impressive time of 93 hours and 11 minutes.
Additionally, a Nigerian masseuse, Joyce Ijeoma, collapsed 50 hours into her 72-hour attempt to break the record for the longest massage on different individuals.
Ezinne Okoye, through her Instagram page, hinted at starting a 130-hour Fry-a-ton to set the record for the longest frying marathon by an individual.
Another notable Nigerian, Oluwatobi Kufeji, embarked on the journey to achieve the longest singing marathon.
However, an upcoming artist named Sugartee faced a setback when the Ekiti State government banned her proposed 72-hour kiss-a-thon, citing moral reasons.
